Christmas Day

This year before anyone was stirring, I got in and took some good pictures of what Santa brought my kids.  It included bikes, guitar hero world tour, a tool set, a DS, a Wall-e robot, a wolf puppet, and various video games.  It was a surprise to all, since my kids had not even asked for many of those things!  The kids woke up around 7:30 and came down together to investigate.  We enjoyed a quiet morning together.

After the kids had fun with their Santa gifts, they exchanged gifts with eachother.  This year the four of them decided to exchange gifts, which was an interesting process.  Some bought new, some passed on things they knew the other wanted, and some made gifts.  It was really nice.  Then they all exchanged with Gramma and Gramps too!

My mom got the kids “car bags” and “winter coats” (which were really just sweatshirts, but my mom says that is all they ever wear anyhow!) …  Malena got my mom a foot scrubber, and my dad a magnet that says “Mr. Greedy” on it.  Malena thought that was hysterical when she saw it.  Below, you see my brother looking shocked and amazed as he thought he was opening a rebox of

My flip video—but surprise, I got him one!  Jon, that counts as birthday too you know….

This is Jon opening the gift he asked for—and Mom with her bracelet Jon gave her, and got a lot of compliments!!

Audrey gets yet another Twilight thing, and loves it!  But the funniest gift was one Jon got Spencer.  A game where you get shocked if you don’t let go in time!  That was repeatedly funny!

While I was making breakfast, Cade decided it was a good time to catch up on some sleep on the counter.  I wonder if he thought Santa would come back around!

Before long, the afternoon crowd arrived.  Presents flew while the prime rib was in the oven.

There was a flurry of activity while everyone dug under the tree for their gifts.  Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves! But it sure did go quickly!

Here is Malena’s other present arranged by Santa for early delivery!  She is a very sweet addition!

And people say they don’t know what to get teenage boys!

Once the presents were all unfurled it was time for the FEAST!
