Tybee Island

After a long day at Wormsloe and Skidrow, we decided a good way to end the day was at Tybee.  Usually, we go to the far end, but this time, we thought we may actually  have time to go up into the lighthouse.  It turned out the lighthouse was closing soon after we got there, so we just enjoyed time at the beach.  First, we tried to act like we’d paid admission, but didn’t get too far.  We did get in a few pictures before they closed up, then I took them over to the beach where they ran like maniacs...

Then, we headed to the beach where I became obsessed with various photography genres.  First, it was the oat grass.  I guess it is oat grass, or dunes grass...whatever, sometimes in focus, sometimes not.  Soon, that was replaced with the reflections in the sand shots.  There were a lot of those, until I realized the birds would actually eat right out of the kids hands!  Then, that occupied about 300 pictures on my card!  And, as a rule breaker, there is nothing better than the big ominous sign saying keep off the rocks, with your kids joyously playing on the rocks in the background...I mean, really, does it get any better than that?  And, aside from getting cut up feet from the shells...what exactly happens there?  Really?  I mean...REALLY.  It was a good time had by all!!!
