Yesterday, my man embarked on his 6 week trek of skiing lessons with the three oldest kids. Audrey and Spencer have skied before, but it was Malena’s first time. They didn’t get home until 10PM, but all were happy when they got here!! Of course, 24 was on, so I could not be disturbed to hear all the tales...but, the few I did hear, were all good. I enjoyed (immensely) a quiet day at home with Cade. Well, we did do some things...like build a radio, sew on Malena’s brownie patches, and tidy up a bit...but we also played a lot of games too. A good time had by all!! |

Cade and I used snap circuits a lot yesterday. Finally, we built whatever was on the cover of the box—had no idea what is was—it turned out to be a little radio! It made really high pitched sounds (left), and then we got in a nice radio station...only one, in Spanish, of course!! The best toy ever! |

I was a little concerned about Malena’s timid nature...but I think you can see from the photos, she had a great time! The class time was just long enough to get them started, and then they skied until they would not let them ski anymore! Spencer had a few minor set backs...loosing a ski getting onto the lift, and the humiliation of being moved to Malena’s class—two words for you—Charlie Brown. But, by the end of the day he was doing much better, and they all came home happy! |
