Last year, you may recall we had some lovely ducks...which we affectionately called “Duck-Ducks”—they are living happily down the street at a farm to this day. We ‘donated’ them. This year, we decided we should get mallards instead because they can fly away when faced with adulthood, or a threat. Since getting the mallards from Tractor Supply can be tricky I decided to order eggs to hatch. I ordered one dozen. RELAX! If you knew my luck hatching, you would know that the chances of us having a dozen ducks will be slim to none. We HOPE to get four out of it, so each kid can have one. I am hoping to get one or two myself. Can you tell by the photo they are a lovely shade of green? They are very cool, and the kids are going to make me nuts until they hatch—which will be in 23 days...o/a March 27th! Check back! |
