Audrey has been taking Chaucer for the last six weeks with my friend who has an awesome way of teaching Chaucer (and Shakespeare) to middle school kids that is both engaging and educational. She loves it! They are looking at the characters and the “Tales” together and have learned how to write their own ‘Tale.’ They had a blast. They made posters, watched You Tube videos (about Chaucer, see below), learned the Code of Chivalry, and learned about words Chaucer gave us that we still use today. |

Here is a link to the blog regarding the class. Audrey enjoyed this class because the text was translated from Middle English. It seemed to her easier to digest than the Shakespeare was.
