MATANE!Oval: In Japan, the word ‘Matane’ means ‘see you later’— when Aya left us, we used this word instead of what American’s traditionally think of as Sayonara…’goodbye’ We feel certain our paths will cross again!
Text Box: Our last night together we went to UNO’s, which Aya found to be very funny since her favorite game while she was here was UNO! The guys in the background found it hysterical that we were taking photos, but, when they heard they could be going to Japan they joined in the picture!!
Text Box: Aya had a cheeseburger and fried potatoes. When that was gone she ate Audrey’s sauce from her noodles!
Text Box: Before we left to take Aya to Richmond, the kids had one last game of Uno, and one last jump on the trampoline. Aya forgot her shoes, so Audrey had to carry her down the hill! Final photo at the house was of our front yard, with all the kids in their Labo/4H shirts.
Text Box: Time for goodbyes.
