You know how sometimes you are talking to someone and it brings up a thought from the past? Well, in a recent discussion with a friend of mine, I told her how I used to do ‘book brochures’ in lieu of traditional staring at a blank paper write a book report kind of work when I was teaching. Then, it all came back to me...and since then, I have mentioned it to a few other friends...and so...here you go people! In short, they can use the prompts to briefly fill in the questions. They can either zig zag fold it, or tri-fold it and draw pictures on the back. If you are very clever, you can print on both sides of your paper. Me? Not so much. By asking the question: Where did the story take place—but then putting (setting) in para’s next to it—they figure out pretty quickly what’s what.
If you like it, here you go...if you want to take it and run with it—go for it! |
