An Apple A Day

Today we went to Hartland Orchards in Markham to pick apples.  This was Cade and Malena’s first time picking apples.  We picked two bags, and bought a gallon of cider on the way out!  The only thing we did wrong, they had a stand where you could dip your own carmel apples.  The kids decided we are just going to have to go back!

Cade enjoyed his first apple picking— even if it fell to the ground! *Notice the apple falling at the bottom of the first picture— Not to worry, Mom retrieved it, and he decided that was the ‘juiciest apple’ in the whole place!

Audrey, an old pro at apple tree climbing, scurried up the tree to get the best apples.  Meanwhile, Malena stretched from the ground until she was brave enough to climb up herself!  Spencer, always a man for a gadget, handled the apple picker to reach the top of the trees!

We picked two bags full!  A mix of stamen, golden delish, and granny smiths.  We returned home, and Audrey helped make a pie for Papa (apple pie is his favorite!)

Another great day!
