Text Box: Home Text Box: We had planned a special picnic at Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg with our friends the Herths, when the long lost friends from Oklahoma showed up in our driveway! The kids were so excited to see their friends. Spencer and Malena had not seen Bruce and Grace in over a year! So, we all piled in the car and had a great day exploring the plantation together Text Box: With all these kids, we enjoyed a picnic and the gardens, but did not dare take the house tour! From rose bushes, to 100+ year old Japanese maples everything was in bloom Text Box: From wishing wells to garden statues there was something for everyone to explore. But in the end, the ‘forts’ formed from boxwood trees that were over 100 years old proved to be the most fun. They gathered, staked claim and battled to protect ‘their’ forts.
