Text Box: Other interesting things we saw in Croatia Text Box: Beautiful fields? No, Landmines. Left over from the civil war. The war was not that long ago, and we saw lots of signs of the damage it left behind. Here are a few things. The piles of white painted rocks are especially intriguing. Graves? Land mine markers? We have no idea. But there were 100’s of them. Bullet holes speckle a homes stucco exterior. Hard to believe these are actually people’s houses.
