Oval: Recently, Audrey had a great opportunity to participate in a six week Shakespeare class. Although she started out with grumbles, she found she really enjoyed Shakespeare, and especially learning about life in those times and about his family. The course ended today with a play that included scenes from Macbeth, which they read during the course, Julius Caesar, and Romeo and Juliet. Audrey was one of the three witches from Macbeth. The play was put on in Shakespearean style. Seats were 1-3 pennies depending largely on the comfort, and the refreshments sold were apples and pears. Should the actors be less than impressive, you could feel free to throw your apples at them!

Text Box: All the kids did a really great job with their lines and parts in the play. Most everyone was in costume. Some other cool facts are that the audience is part of the performance, and the sound effects were made by the cast members not on stage. Another Shakespearean phrase is “Box Office” because the money collected for the play was collected in a box.
