Text Box: Our fourth of July was celebrated probably the same as many of you. Burgers on the grill at home, and fireworks at night. The yearly quest to get some good fireworks pictures was well underway at the country club and the kids were running amuck on the golf course. As the sun set and the patriotic music blared we enjoyed a beautiful display—though seemed like perhaps the recession had hit the display—as it was very short! Ah, the spectacle, and I did manage to get a few good shots...
Text Box: Okay, I didn’t actually take the pictures, because my man commandeered my camera...and that only proved to be more interesting once the fireworks were over. Using the tripod and a shutter speed of about 30 seconds he and the kids had a blast making these freakish photos using a small LED flashlight and my camera. To make some of your own, take a dark night, a tripod, set your ISO to about 100, and your shutter speed to 30 seconds and your Fstop to F8. Then use your flash light to ghost yourself, draw or write messages! It was pretty fun, and a good way to spend time until traffic cleared!
